Ready for some scrumptious sugary sweetness for your body?
Getting your skin to look its radiant best couldn't be any easier with this Organik DIY project.
Make your own sugar scrub at home with just 2 ingredients and enjoy what's left of summer with full abandon!
What you need
Go with fine white or brown sugar. Coarse sugar could be too abrasive on your skin.
Olive, coconut, jojoba… any carrier oil will do. Just make sure to stay away from any oil that you may be allergic to.
How to make it
Mix equal part of each (1:1) with some love. That’s it!
You can make a small batch before each use or make a larger batch and store it in a jar. If you are planning to keep it in your bathroom, just remember to use a spoon or scoop and be careful not to let any water get into the container. (Water encourages bacterial growth!) As long as you keep the jar tightly sealed, you are good to go for six weeks.
After cleansing and washing your body in bath or shower, gently rub the scrub on your body. You can apply a little more pressure on hard skin parts such as the soles of your feet or elbows to exfoliate. Rinse well. And--voila!--you will emerge from the shower with softer, suppler, more radiant skin.
Want kissable lips? You can also use a droplet of the scrub on your lips to exfoliate chapped lips. Just be very, very gentle and keep the rubbing short. The skin on your lips is very thin!
Caution: As with all oil-based bath products, please take caution when you get out of the bath/shower so you don't slip.
